St. Francis Bhavan

"St. Francis Bhavan "- Umling, Megalaya, North East. Diocese of Shilong (Latin Rite)
In July 2008, as always, in order to extend our presence in other states, with the help of the Franciscan Friars, the Sisters went to see the mission to Umling in the Megalaya, one of the seven North-Eastern part of India. The provincial government of the friars has proposed to purchase this mission land with the school for the children of the village, hence, with the help of a benefactor from Italy, the entire land was bought with a modest house. On October 4, 2008, the solemn inauguration of the new community was held. Currently, there is a Nursery up to the Middle school. Our Sisters are managing and teaching in this school.
